Had the urge to do some "computer graphics"

methodology:
digital photo --> photo manip on photoshop --> automatic vectorizing on flash mx --> enlarged part of the result --> played with colorization back in photoshop again
you can play around with the settings on the automatic vectorize function in flash (i do not know the correct english name of that function, cuz i do not use an english version of the software)... it took me a long time to find the range of settings i like, and now i play around in that range.
you can take a very small segment of a vectorized photo and enlarge it.
(I don't own flash, but the vectorization function in the free (open source) vector drawing program "inkscape" works very well for this, especially if you posterize the photo beforehand.)
